The Mix of Knowledge and Power



The wise prevail through great power and those who have knowledge...Prov. 24:5

I used to think the presence of knowledge alone is enough for any man to be successful in life, until I was proven wrong recently. I used to think mere possession of knowledge about so many concepts was enough guarantee for a distinguished and illustrious life. I belonged to the school of thought that believed power is derived by defaults by the ordinary possession of knowledge. I was right in the sense of the ordinary but wrong in the realm of the depth.

It is the power from above that gives knowledge a chance and an opportunity for expression. It silenced the opposition when questioned. It makes your views to be a reference point and a precedent on subject matters.  It makes the concepts of knowledge to be ever relevant in the face of a rapidly change in the world.  It is power that makes the hypothesis of knowledge to be accepted when trusted against real life situation. It is power that birth the result from the input of knowledge. power has the ability to make your mere knowledge an experts opinion to be sought after and consulted. it makes your views to be more preferred above your equal. it makes you the bastion of knowledge. it is power that gives your voice a sense of exemptions in the din of noises. it  gives you the proprietary of views and expression.

No doubt, the absence of power in the life of any man would birth the season of his frustration. Without power in any man's life, he becomes a lepgic in the waves of life tossed against him. He looses his voice and the knowledge he possess becomes a subjects of ridicule. His views becomes a source of disgust and resentment among his equals. The absence of the mix of Power in knowledge is likened to a life wire without current flowing through it. Knowledge without power is a frustration forcefully courted.

I urge us this day to toast and attract the romance of knowledge and power. it makes a delightful couple in the daily engagements of life. It is a sight to behold.  It assures of excellency as we embark on the journey of life called destiny.

Repairing the Breaches

And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.  (1 Kings 18:30, NKJV) A spiritual peek into the lives of the nations and that of men around us reveals ruins of broken down place of worship that has fallen into a state of disrepair and neglects. The personal and the cooperate prayer altars of men and nations has become broken down to the extents that they now qualify to be called museum of past encounter. Listening

"Now then, my sons, listen to me And do not depart from the words of my mouth." (Proverbs 5: 7) The hustling and the bustling in our world today has altered and transformed our relationship with God. It has become the noise that drowns and dwarves every voice that contains an express word for God's people.  We have become so used to the noise in the world that we have lost touch with the person of the Word (Jesus) speaking into our lives. The din of the noise emanating from the world has discounted the word that is meant expressly for us and for the high calling of God for our lives. We have missed so many key appointments in our spiritual calendar because of our inability to hear from God per time, per season!
