A Call for Action

(The words that I have spoken to you, they are spirit and are life, John 6:63, NASB)
Still on the matter, one of the reason the world is finding it difficult to grasp and accepts the message of salvation is because we have failed to live and acts the very word we preach and claim to profess. It becomes a mere propaganda in the eyes of the world until it is acted upon.

The book of Acts 1:1 said thus…Jesus began to do and to teach.  We can see that our master the lord Jesus Christ preceded words by His actions. He didn’t just preach it, He lived the word. The word of God is meant to be lived and not just preached and taught alone. The world is tired of messages and words that has little or no connection to them instead they are interested on how we live and apply the word in our own lives.

Jesus Christ lived the word He preached by ministering to the physical and emotional needs of those around Him even as He went about preaching and teaching the world about the kingdom of God.  The world could relate and connect with Him because they could see the proof of His words and confession in His deeds. We have so much reduced the message of salvation and God’s kingdom to a mere contest for lyrical verbosity to the sheer neglect for the actions that back it up.

Recently I recall sharing that Christianity is a testimony. How would men testify if you are not acting and living the word to render proof of your stewardship and obedience to the word.

We all know that a verb is an action word so also is the word of God, it is not an abstracts concept, it is an experience that modifies and transmogrifies lives. There are abundant of the word but there is a scarcity of those truly living the word. The world is in dire need of the living word.

The call is for an action to live the word; it is not opportunity to promote self but a responsibility to promote the Kingdom of God.  GOD BLESS YOU.
