The Highest Expectation

“beloved, if God has loved us, we ought also to love one another?” (1 John 4:11, KJV) Whenever I hear about the acts of wickedness and hatred perpetuated by men against their fellow men, it only reveals a reversal of the expectation of God in the lives of men. This is one of the reasons why the purpose and essence of living no longer makes meaning to most men, and when life no longer makes meaning to such men, then the serenity of life which is a by-product of love no longer holds in such lives. What a state short of expectation! It is the lack of love that breeds envy and gives rise to unhealthy competition. The absence of love equates the presence of wickedness. When love is not experienced in a man’s life, true peace can never flow from such live. When love is in deficit, divine power is scarce. When the acts love is suppressed, men are oppressed. If love is rejected, evil is celebrated and accepted. When love is scarce, wickedness will abound in abundance.  L...
